The Cooltech Industries Opposed Blade Damper (OBD) is a specialised air control device designed to regulate airflow directly at the grille face. Crafted from high-quality extruded aluminium, both the outer frame and control blades are built to ensure durability and long-lasting performance. What sets the Cooltech Industries OBD apart is its unique control mechanism, which relies on a set of robust, high-quality ABS sprockets affixed to the end of each blade. These sprockets work in unison to provide precise and stable damper operation, a significant improvement over traditional friction-based system.
This sprocket-based mechanism allows for accurate control of airflow, maintaining consistent settings across the entire range of motion. The blades are fully adjustable, with a 45-degreeangle when closed and a 90-degree angle when fully open, offering versatile control over air distribution. Adjustments can be easily made through the grille using a Phillips head screwdriver, with the circular screw control turning clockwise to open and anticlockwise to close the damper.
For ease of installation, the OBD includes a 5mm straight lip that slips over any grille type, allowing for secure attachment using Tek screws or rivets. The damper is finished in black anodised aluminium, providing a discreet and aesthetically pleasing solution that suits all applications.
